Oats (Avena sativa) is one of the oldest and most important crops in the world. Its cultivation has a long history, dating back thousands of years, especially in temperate countries. The appearance of oats is distinctive. It is distinguished from wheat, triticale or rye by its lack of a compact ear. Instead, it has an inflorescence in the form of a panicle. The shape of this cereal is perfect for use in a variety of floral arrangements, to which it adds a rustic touch. Coloured dried oats are ideal for colourful compositions.

Dried oats are a natural product, and as such, the following characteristics may be present:
- irregular ear size;

Conditions of use
Dried plants do not require any special care, however, in order to keep their colour and shape for as long as possible, follow these recommendations:
- do not expose them to direct sunlight. Colours fade in the sun and lose their attractive appearance;
- keep them away from sources of heat;
- avoid contact of dried plants with water – do not water or spray;
- remember it that dried plants may break or crumble, so handle them gently.
