Carnations occur naturally in Europe, Asia and Africa, and their name is derived from the Greek word dianthus, meaning divine flower. More than 300 species belong to this group, many of which are very popular as ornamental plants. Carnations delight with their variety of colours, shapes and scents. The flowers, depending on the species, can be between 3 and 8 cm in diameter and come in colours of white, pink, yellow, orange, red, purple and even maroon. They are characterised by strong, elongated calyces and petals with often frayed edges.

The stabilisation process keeps the flowers fresh and natural looking for a long time. In addition, preserved carnations can be dyed in a variety of unusual colours, which opens up a wide range of arrangement possibilities. Preserved flower heads are used in the creation of various floral compositions. Using them, flower boxes, wreaths, table decorations and even decorations in glass display clohes are created. The carnation is a natural product, the following characteristics may be present:

Conditions of use
Preserved plants do not require any special care, however, in order to keep their colour and shape for as long as possible, you should follow these recommendations:
- do not expose them to direct sunlight. Colours fade in the sun and lose their attractive appearance;
- keep them away from sources of heat;
- avoid contact of preserved plants with water – do not water or spray;
- remember that preserved plants can break or become brittle, so handle them gently;
- do not use for outdoor decoration.
The flower heads can be glued with hot glue and cold floral glue, or can be attached with wire.
