Aristea, commonly known as blue sceptre, is a genus of flowering plants belonging to the iris family (Iridaceae). They are native to sub-Saharan Africa and Madagascar. The inflorescence is located at the top of a long stem that can reach up to 1.5 meters in height. The blue flowers are densely packed in spikes. After flowering, three-chambered seed capsules remain.
Dried aristea has a unique and original appearance and looks stunning in tall vases thanks to its long stem. It also makes an excellent addition to bouquets when combined with other dried or preserved plants.
