Flat moss is a common species of moss found in coniferous and deciduous forests in the northern hemisphere. The name aptly reflects its characteristic appearance – it grows flat, forming low, carpet-like forms (flat moss, sheet moss, carpet moss). It is distinguished by its fine, feathery leaves. Flat moss can be found in a variety of places, which determine its additional names: in forests (forest moss), on meadows (grass moss) or on rocks (mountain moss).
Preserved flat moss, due to its structure, is ideally suited to covering extensive areas. Working with it is quick and efficient, as large patches of moss can be easily and efficiently attached to panels. Preserved flat moss is excellent for decorative work, giving it a natural and woodland feel.
There are three shades of green in our range:
– light green
– medium green
– dark green
This offer is for medium green preserved flat moss. The medium green blends in fantastically with the other shades.
Preserved flat moss is an original Preserved Nature product.
The box with windows contains approximately 0,5 m2 of flat moss arranged in 4 layers.

Specific features
Moss is a natural product and the following features may be present:
- irregular shape and texture of the moss;
- presence of pine needles;
- individual batches may vary slightly in shade.
The size and number of moss fragments in individual packs may vary.
Conditions of use
Preserved moss do not require any special care, however, in order to keep their colour and shape for as long as possible, you should follow these recommendations:
- do not expose it to direct sunlight. Colours fade in the sun and lose its attractive appearance;
- keep it away from sources of heat;
- avoid contact of preserved moss with water – do not water or spray;
- remember that preserved moss can break or become brittle, so handle them gently;
- do not use for outdoor decoration.
